Abstract

He was born in a village in Egypt in a religious family. After completing his primmary and secondary school, he entered the university and got his M.a. in Arabic language.
Then he strarted to work as a teacher and at the same time started to write book and do scientific reaserches as well. He criticized the U.S. and her hostile policies while he was making a trip there. He was forced to abandan his teachiang activities . Then he joined Community of Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan - al - Muslemin) and in 1959 was arrested and condemned to remaind in prison for his uphelding the Islamic and Devine ideals.
After releasing from the prison, he was doing Islamic activities. Egyptian court condemned him to death penalty. Despite the widespread protests against this verdict it was carried out in 1966.
The writings of Sayyed Qutb are divided in two categories critisrsm and qualysis stories and education which amounts to 12 titles.
His social and religious amounts to 24 volumes. There are some of his more important works:
Tafsir (commentary) in the shadow of Quran in 7 volumes.
Islam and world peace.
Characteritics of Islamic thought.
Future in the domain of Islam.
Social justice in Islam , Litrary criticism...all books have been reprinted several times.
