3Ibn-i 3Abi al-Hadid is one of the greatest and the most foumous Sunni Scholars in 7th centuly A. H. He has written several books including A commentaiy on Nahdj al-Balagha in 20 volumes. He was a great poet and a man of letters, and has composed many elegant poems.

This panegjirc poem is originated from his great affection for ¶Ali. This love is based on a rigorous kuowledge of cAli, for he believed that he inherited prophets’ knowledge and learning and owns numerous virtues and miracles, and nobody is as powerful and brave as He. To God, CAli isso honoured and esteemed that He has created the universe in his honour, and on the day of Judgement He decides between heaven and hell for all people and intercedes with God on behalf of them.
Finally, although this Sunni learned scholar, in his A commentary on Nahdj al-Balagha, in the discussion about cal4hate considers the priority of Superior to Non-superior permissible, in these kasidas he finds fault with the selection of Non-superior.
