The cities and process of urbanization in Iran have been changed since recent decades, so that the number of cities and their population and their spacial expansion have been developed chiefly. The city of Khorramabad, the center of Lorestan province has not been immunized from this transition. The population of city of Khorramabad that located in the way of Tehran and Khozestan increased greatly because of rural immigration.
In this article beside the study of population growth rate in Khorramabad and its causes, the time when the population will become double during 2005-2020 has been forcasted.
