Abstract

Before the Iranian constitutional Revolution, (1905-1911), a feminine voice was seldom heard in Persian poetry. It was after the Revolution that women poets - side by side men poets - having begun their experimentation in poetry, expressed their deep feelings and noble thoughts in poetic form.
Nimtadj Lakestain was a brave and dedicated woman who, in a turbulent period, fought against oppression and
injustice, and with her lucid and elequent language voiced her desire for freedom. In her poetry, this open - minded, realist and humanitarian poet sought to turn injustice into justice and find a cure for human suffering. Also, this woman of merit has not yet won recognition and few people
know about her great command of language.
