Mutanabbi is one of the greatest Arab poets who attracted the
Islamic world both in his life time and there after.
In 345 (a.h) he visited Iran. He dwelled in Arrajan for awile, then he travelled to Shiraz to visit Adedduleh. Duning his short stay in Iran, he composed some important poems, wherein he
illustrated Iran and it's events. Then on his journey to Iraq he was brutally attacked and killed by bandits.
Analysing Mutanabbi's Poems, Taha Husain believes that although his stay in Iran was short, however It coused a great
progress in his poety, and should this stay had lasted a bit longer the whole Arab poetry would have developed.
