Abstract

We read, in the present article, about biography of Sheikh Rokn din or Ohad ‘dedin Maraqi, born in Maraqé in 670 H. and passed away in the same city in 738 L.H./ 1377 A.D. Of his works there are “Jam-é-Jam and poetical works and Masnavi Dahnameh or “Mantegh-Oshshagh”. His Masnavi of Jam-é-Jam, one of the masterpieces of Persian literature in the field of ethics, social sciences and gnosticism. His pedagogical viewpoint and comparison has been made in what Saadi and Ohadi’s works share of pedagogy. Ohadi regards justice as the significant terms of kingdom, marking as unstable the governorship and unjust government and he finds the heartsick of the opperessed inefficacious upon the just ruler, considering the Just king who renders justice. knowingly as the shadow of Allah and the serf in his bosom be calm and relentful. But Saadi in “Boostan” about “Justice, policy, determination” indirectly quotes Anooshirvan to Hormoz , starting the Justice in the observation of dervish, afterwards dealing with the lonely, the serf and the other social strata. Maraqe’ee calls upon the listener from arrogance and insolence to soft behaviour and shun of remissness qualities, saying that you know how long you outlive. Then why on earth do
you give an ear to the wrong crowd’s words? adding that “less I’ve heard that the modest and the soft-behaved become wary of their own temper. To Maraqe’ee , the chaste woman is the candle of house and the reckless woman as the poisance of time, the pious woman sublimates man and the unpious one degrades him. Yet Saadi better expresses the features of a good narrow-hearted Companionate woman but towards her man.
