Hatef Esfahani is of those poets who wrote three odes in Arabic language. In two of his odes which its subject is lyric, he was influenced with pagan Arab and Islamic lyric, and he imitated Urvah - Ibn Hazam Ozri,
Jamil Ibn Ozri and Umar Ibn Abirabia. In third ode which is in eulogy of prophet is influenced of poets of Fall era and Imam Bursiri.
