Since the seventh and eighth centuries (A.H.) which were the golden age of the Persian lyrics one may not find a poet who wrote lyrics without the influence of this golden era. Hence, modem Persian literature is not an exception either.
In this article, it has been tried to survey the lyrics of Hooshang Ebtehaj (Sayeh) who is a great lyricist of our time, which his lyrics, too, were quite under the influence of Hafez. This survey has been done from different perspectives. They are as follows:
I. The influence of Hafez literary expressions on Sayeh lyrical works.
II. The influence of Hafez themes on Sayeh lyrics.
III. The influence of Hafez poetical structures on Sayeh lyrical works.
IV The influence of Hafez lyrics on the Nima way of poetry of Sayeh lyrics.
